wednesday night clutter

yes its cluttered here....
toys everywhere...
no cat food

the damn cats are going nuts on each other...
in fact the whole bunch of us is getting
to be
like
itching powder on each other...
we fuss and fight over nothing
because we can't talk about the big things that are wrong.

there is no fix
there is only
survival...
so don't ask me
how I am
I am just here
surviving the clutter.

its closing in...
prices rising...
the wallet too empty....
the phone calls to be made are hard enough

the supplies are going to run low
and the energy to make it all spin
seems to seep out
in the cracks
I hadn't noticed before

love is a dream
dreams are hard to come by
and that list of all the things...
I never had
I just seem to keep wanting
more than ever
